Sometimes, finding the love of your life really is just as simple as passing them in the hallway- which is exactly how Dakotah and Adam’s love story came to be!
While at grad school at Cleveland State University in Ohio, Dakotah noticed Adam in the hallway one day and was determined to find a way to talk to him. Thankfully, he felt the same, and they quickly bonded over their shared love of traveling, working out, and hosting dinner parties and game nights with friends. When they made Nashville their home with their pup, Brindley, Bicentennial Park was one of the first places they all visited together. Just a little while later, it was where Adam would propose on a steamy, 100 degree day.
When it came to wedding planning, the couple didn’t have a specific theme in mind when they approached Romance & Rust. Only two design elements stood out to them: floating candles and LOTS of greenery. The final result was better than they could have imagined.
“Kathy went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect,” Dakotah says. “She would even send us different ideas she would come across to see if it was something we were interested in, including a creative way to use our greenery wall as a way to clip our seating tents instead of leaving them on a table… Seeing our vision come to life through the decor and floral was incredible and more than we can even put into words.”
When the big day finally came, the couple was thrilled with their dreamy October wedding. The best part for them, however? Having all of the people they loved in the same place.
“Kathy and the workers at Romance & Rust were incredible and played such a crucial part in our day,” says Dakotah. “We truly would not have had such an unforgettable day without them. We can't say enough good things about them!”
